LEGO's "LEGO Art" series, which focuses on mosaic art and targets adult LEGO enthusiasts, officially unveiled its latest product today (29th): "31208 The Great Wave off Kanagawa" (Hokusai – The Great Wave)
! The classic masterpiece by Japanese Ukiyo-e artist "Katsushika Hokusai (Hokusai)" makes its appearance, slated for release in January 2023.

This set features 1810 pieces, and once assembled, it measures approximately 39 cm in height and 52 cm in length. It recreates the famous masterpiece of the Ukiyo-e master using white, sand, and various shades of blue bricks! In addition to utilizing a rich assortment of ¼ round and curved elements to outline the wave shapes, the foam of the waves is adorned with numerous leaf and bird elements, resulting in a remarkably high level of fidelity. The boats within The Great Wave off Kanagawa, and the brushstrokes depicting them, are also well-rendered. The people on the boats are represented by 1x1 round printed tiles, which become increasingly charming the more you look at them~ The artist's signature in the upper left corner is also perfectly reproduced.
What truly elevates this rendition of The Great Wave off Kanagawa to the status of a genuine art piece is undoubtedly the frame structure! White plate elements are used to create the visual effect of a white mat board between the artwork and the wood-textured sand-colored outer frame. This adds a touch of sophistication, whether hung on a wall or simply displayed.
