Japanese toy company Good Smile Company's best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) toy series will release "Narciso Anasui" (ナルシソ・A), one of the many companions who act alongside protagonist Jolyne Cujoh in the sixth part of the popular manga "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure", titled "Stone Ocean"! Scheduled for release in June 2023.
Created by Hirohiko Araki, "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" began its serialization with Part 1 in 1987 and has since progressed to Part 9, creating numerous classics along the way, with each part's story having its own dedicated fanbase. The sixth serialized story, "Stone Ocean", began in 2000, featuring Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Part 3's protagonist Jotaro Kujo, as its main character—making it the only JoJo story with a female protagonist. It narrates Jolyne's journey from being wrongfully imprisoned, through a series of events, meeting various companions, and gradually uncovering the true conspiracy of the enemy, Father Pucci.
In the original Part 6, Narciso Anasui is one of Jolyne's companions. His Stand ability is "Diver Down." He was imprisoned in the aquarium prison for committing dismemberment murder. With an appearance that resembles a woman, his initial words and actions were dangerously unpredictable. However, after witnessing Jolyne's fierce determination to save her father, he was moved and captivated, believing Jolyne made him feel reborn, and thus frequently declared his intention to marry her. In the final battle against Father Pucci, his unintentional heartfelt confession ultimately won Jolyne's acceptance.
This Nendoroid Anasui, released by Good Smile Company, faithfully recreates his primary outfit from the original work, featuring mesh clothing. The interchangeable face plates include a "Normal Face," a "Combat Face," and a "Smiling Face." His arm and leg parts allow him to recreate his distinctive "JoJo Pose." As for other accessories, it includes parts for Anasui's Stand, "Diver Down," specifically its head and legs, as well as the ring he bought in the original story, which Jolyne later used to throw at an alligator.
