The renowned Japanese toy company BANDAI's GASHAPON division is combining a must-play childhood toy for Taiwanese 70s and 80s kids – the half bouncy ball "Bi Bo" – with creative designs from "Ultraman Leo" to launch the "Terrifying Saucer Beast Poppin' Eye" gashapon series. There are a total of ten styles, with each turn priced at 200 JPY, and is scheduled to be released in January 2023.
The half bouncy ball toy, known in Taiwan as "Bo Bo," "Jumping Shell," or "Elastic Skin," is now combined with the theme of "Terrifying Saucer Beasts," species from Planet Black that invaded Earth in "Ultraman Leo." The saucer-shaped half-balls, which can be attached or launched, are transformed into fascinating alien creature designs. Each design comes in red and green, featuring: Bunyo Alien, Silver Bloome, Nova, and Absorb. A total of ten variations. Simple yet ingeniously designed, it evokes memories of various creative childhood playstyles!
