Kotobukiya Bishoujo Plastic Model Kit "ARCANADEA" Third Character "Yukumo" First Painted Sample Revealed!

Following the highly acclaimed Lumitea and Velletta, the new Bishoujo plastic model kit series "ARCANADEA" from Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) recently unveiled the first painted sample of its third character, "Yukumo". Product information will be released and pre-orders will open on January 06, 2023.

"Arcanadea" is a plastic model kit series with a sci-fi and fantasy theme. Its world is set in the near future, where Eden Industries uses newly discovered next-generation energy "Arcana Particles" to create the popular virtual space server "Eden." Among these, the fantasy-themed Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online (VRMMO) game "Arcanadea" enjoys immense popularity.

However, one day, a strange explosion occurred at Eden Industries, scattering "Arcana Crystals" that brought immense disaster to the world. These crystals not only caused frequent anomalies worldwide but also brought unknown life forms from another world with incredible powers, called "DEARS." These "DEARS," resembling fantasy creatures, exist in two types: those that harm humans and harmless ones that can coexist with humans. Therefore, Eden Industries began recruiting "DEAR MASTERS" who could work with harmless DEARS to recover the Arcana Crystals.

The third character, "YUKUMO," is a beast-girl who is very sensitive to fashion trends. Her design combines the "Kitsune (fox spirit)" and "Miko (shrine maiden)" imagery often used in Japanese mythology, with a fluffy, huge tail that is very cute. She is kind-hearted and dislikes conflict, and is quite shy and introverted, not good at communicating with others. However, her perseverance is stronger than average, and she never gives up until the very last moment.

The painted sample photos released this time include both her normal form and armed form. Although these are not the actual product colors, many parts of the second character, Velletta, such as her horns, top, pants, and right leg armor, were pre-painted, allowing for a very high level of satisfaction even with a straight build. It is hoped that Yukumo's richly colored Japanese-style attire will also include more pre-painted parts.
