Japanese company UNION CREATIVE (ユニオンクリエイティブ株式会社), known for its expertise in producing various character-themed three-dimensional figures, is set to release a figure of the protagonist, "Elaina" (イレイナ), from the famous Japanese light novel series "Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina"! It is scheduled for release in May 2023.
"Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina" (魔女の旅々) is a novel series by Japanese author Jougi Shiraishi, first published on Amazon Kindle in 2014 as a self-published work. It was later revised and released as a tankōbon by SB Creative in 2016, followed by sequels. A manga adaptation began serialization in November 2018, with four tankōbon volumes released to date. An anime adaptation premiered in October 2020, consisting of 12 episodes. The story follows the protagonist, Elaina, who, inspired by a book titled "The Adventures of Nike" since childhood, aspires to become a witch and travel the world. She became a witch apprentice at 14 and was later recognized by her master, the "Stardust Witch," who bestowed upon her the title "Ashen Witch" (due to her hair color). The story unfolds as she embarks on her travels, encountering various people, occasionally interspersed with flashbacks to her past experiences as a witch.
This PVC figure of Elaina, produced by UNION CREATIVE, stands approximately 12 cm tall and is materialized based on Elaina's sitting pose. Elaina's upper body is clad in a knit sweater similar in color to her gray hair, while her lower body features a blue skirt paired with matching blue shoes. Intricate details such as her hair, expression, wrist rings, leg lines, and the shape and folds of her shoes have all been meticulously and perfectly recreated. Furthermore, it includes a special fabric base, making the overall quality truly outstanding.
