Japanese figure manufacturer UNION CREATIVE (Union Creative Co., Ltd.) will release an "Ariel" 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted complete figure based on "So I'm a Spider, So What!", with a suggested retail price of 21,450 JPY, scheduled for release in July 2023!
The Japanese light novel series "So I'm a Spider, So What?" (蜘蛛ですが、なにか？), written by Okina Baba with illustrations by Tsukasa Kiryu and a manga adaptation by Asahiro Kakashi, tells the story of Japanese high school girl "Hiiro Wakaba." Her classroom suddenly explodes during class, killing all students and teachers present. Wakaba is reincarnated in another world as a monster spider, and in her weakest monster form, "I" (the protagonist), struggles to survive in the deepest part of a dungeon surrounded by high-level monsters, eventually breaking through her limits to achieve godhood. However, as the story progresses, it's revealed that things might not be as they seem?
The current Demon Lord, "Ariel," known as the oldest divine beast, is sculpted as a 1/7 scale figure, standing approximately 26 cm tall. It faithfully recreates her adorable loli appearance and captures the scene of "The Demon Lord Girl Ariel Makes a Grand Entrance" with her striking a "peace sign" pose next to her eye. Her wide, one-eyed smile, combined with her revealing and sexy attire, creates a striking contrast. The figure features a rich variety of textures achieved through metallic, glossy, and matte paint applications, while her unique spider-claw cape on her back is faithfully reproduced using clear material.
