Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's robot and mecha-themed model toy brand MECHA SMILE will once again hold its annual, full-throttle new product announcement event, 'Smile Impact 2023,' this year, bringing information on as many as 40 new products all at once!
Since GOOD SMILE COMPANY recruited Hiroaki Tanaka (田中宏明), who had worked at Bandai for over 20 years and was responsible for planning products in the 『Chogokin Damashii』 and 『SUPER MINIPLA』 series, in 2018, they have successively launched products such as the 『MODEROID』 series of plastic model kits, the 『HAGANE WORKS』 series of alloy action figures officially announced in 2020, and the combining mechanism toy 『THE GATTAI』. In just two years, they significantly strengthened their technical capabilities in the plastic model kit and robot-themed fields, and officially established the mecha-themed brand 『MECHA SMILE』 in 2021.
This year's 'Smile Impact 2023' will unveil the anticipated 40 new products over two days. Immediately after the new product reveals, a live commentary program will be held, featuring a powerful lineup of guests including producer Hiroaki Tanaka, Monthly HOBBY JAPAN editor-in-chief Manabu Kimura, renowned Japanese Youtuber toy collectors wotafa and LEON, voice actor and veteran model enthusiast Yuki Tai, and acclaimed Japanese animation industry animator and mechanical designer Masami Obari!
