To celebrate the popular manga "Tokyo Revengers" reaching its final volume, Japan's Bandai Toys online store PREMIUM BANDAI (PB for short) has collaborated with the fashion brand mastermind JAPAN to launch the limited edition "Tokyo Revengers mastermind JAPAN Special Figure BOX" commemorative figures. The suggested retail price is 16,500 JPY, and it is expected to be released in April 2023.
The passionate manga "Tokyo Revengers" (東京卍リベンジャーズ), created by Japanese manga artist Ken Wakui, began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2017 and reached its thrilling conclusion at the end of 2022! The story begins when protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his first love, Hinata Tachibana, died after being caught in a conflict involving the Kanto region's most notorious gang, the "Tokyo Manji Gang (Toman)". He then finds himself accidentally traveling back 12 years to his middle school days. To save his girlfriend and change his cowardly self, Takemichi befriends the leader of the biker gang, Manjiro Sano, and his second-in-command, Ken Ryuguji, embarking on a life of revenge.
Based on BANDAI SPIRITS Banpresto prize figures, this special three-figure set, "Tokyo Revengers mastermind JAPAN Special Figure BOX", features Takemichi Hanagaki, Manjiro Sano, and Ken Ryuguji. It realistically reproduces the characters' unique facial expressions and poses. In addition to details like the folds in their special attack uniforms and T-shirts, and their flowing hairstyles, a specially designed mastermind JAPAN iconic skull LOGO is featured on their backs and boots. Furthermore, a circular base with the collaboration logo design is also included.
