Japanese model manufacturers Good Smile Company and Max Factory are hosting their joint corporate booth "WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!!" at the 36th Wonder Festival model exhibition on February 12th this year. Good Smile Company's assembly model series "MODEROID" recently announced that the event-exclusive product "AV-98 Ingram USA Ver." will be available for limited sale at the event booth and the GOODSMILE Online Shop.
The main robot AV-98 Ingram, which appeared in the anime "Mobile Police," is a LABOR built by Shinohara Heavy Industries without regard for cost, investing heavily in funds and the latest technology. It belongs to the Special Vehicles Section 2 of the Metropolitan Police Department's Security Division. The Ingram boasts high mobility and versatility, with joints throughout its body capable of human-like flexible movements, and it is equipped with a computer system that can learn the pilot's habits. It is armed with anti-LABOR weapons such as a 6-shot revolver and a stun baton, used to combat the increasingly severe LABOR crime.
The "MODEROID AV-98 Ingram USA Ver." released this time is the same model equipped by the New York City Police Labor Team "CLAT" in TV anime episode 44, "CLAT, Forever." The kit is based on the previously released standard version, with the part molding colors replaced to reproduce the distinctive blue armor, and new parts are used to recreate the chest armor without the Rising Sun emblem. It includes a six-shot revolver, anti-Labor stun batons (long/short), and two sets of parts allowing for the assembly of either Unit 1 or Unit 2. Combined with color-correcting stickers and water-slide decals featuring the CLAT logo and numbers, the appearance from the show can be largely reproduced!
