Japan's Prime 1 Studio, under its popular statue product line "Ultimate Premium Masterline", is scheduled to release a 1/4 scale collectible statue of the NPC character "The Doll" from the renowned high-difficulty game Bloodborne between April 2024 and July 2024!
Fans of Soulslike games are certainly no strangers to Bloodborne. Also from the mind of Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of From Software, it is a PlayStation-exclusive game specially developed for SONY. The game embodies the spirit of Dark Souls, but with a different twist: Bloodborne's story background leans towards a medieval European style, reminiscent of the atmosphere in the movie Dracula, and incorporates elements of Cthulhu-esque horror. Players must control the protagonist Hunter in an ancient city called "Yharnam", and in order to uncover the secrets behind its inhabitants, they must explore and battle with various weapons and means, bearing the name of a "Despicable Outsider".
After the player-controlled Hunter is defeated by a monster at the beginning, they arrive at a place called the "Hunter's Dream". There, they encounter an "Abandoned Doll", which appears beautiful and elegant. Initially, it does not interact with you, but as the game progresses, it becomes a helpful assistant, guiding you with "Blood Echoes" and providing special information. In the later stages, there are also some unique performances.
This 1/4 scale statue of The Doll by Prime 1 Studio is a physical embodiment of the in-game Doll's appearance, form, and related scenery. Standing approximately 49 cm tall, its primary pose is seated, meticulously recreating every detail on its body, including the design of its attire, the pattern on its shawl, the lace trim of its long skirt, its neckerchief, and even the joints on its fingers. The right hand can be swapped with alternative parts to display it crossed or hidden beneath the cloak. The oil lamp beside her features an embedded LED component, allowing it to illuminate via battery power.
Furthermore, this product is a BONUS version, and its special accessory features the "Messengers" (亡靈使者), commonly seen in the game. They are sculpted emerging from a pool of blood, clustered around a stone tablet inscribed with text, perfectly recreating the game's atmosphere with remarkable realism.
