Aniplex's action figure series, BUZZmod. (バズモッド), will release its latest product based on the highly popular anime "Urusei Yatsura": the "BUZZmod. Lum & Ten" 1/12 scale action figure. The suggested retail price is 12,000 JPY, with an anticipated release in September 2023.
Japanese veteran manga artist Rumiko Takahashi's first long-running serialized manga, "Urusei Yatsura" (formerly known as "Lum the Invader Girl" in Taiwan), begins with the alien Oni girl "Lum" invading Japan and attempting to conquer Earth. The lecherous boy "Ataru Moroboshi," plagued by misfortune, is forced to take on the responsibility of saving Earth and engages in a game of tag with Lum! Due to a series of misunderstandings, Lum falls in love with Ataru, who unexpectedly wins, thus beginning their hilarious and absurd romantic comedy. To commemorate Shogakukan's 100th anniversary, the work was adapted into a TV anime again after 36 years, with a remastered version of "Urusei Yatsura" released in 2022.
"BUZZmod. Lum & Ten" is produced in 1/12 scale, standing approximately 14.5 cm tall. Based on the remastered anime's design, it faithfully recreates Lum's characteristic lake-green long hair, the Oni horns on her head, and her tiger-striped bikini. It also features the BUZZmod. series' first-ever "floating base" to capture Lum's light and airy posture. Not only can various joints be used to create a sense of airiness, but special parts also allow Ten to float freely in any position~
The joints feature excellent articulation segmentation, maintaining the integrity of the sculpt while offering a wide range of motion! It comes with 4 interchangeable face parts, and interchangeable leg parts for bent-knee poses; additionally, with the electric shock effect parts, you can recreate Lum's angry scenes!
