GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan recently announced the latest product from its 'Nendoroid' series of Q-version articulated figures, 'Mejiro McQueen,' from the popular game 'Uma Musume Pretty Derby,' scheduled for release in June 2023.
The highly popular Uma Musume "Mejiro McQueen," who was active in the second season of the anime, hails from the prestigious "Mejiro Family," possessing the elegant demeanor and confidence of a noble lady. Her stamina is astonishing, and she excels in long-distance races, earning her the title "Peerless Stayer." She vows to conquer the 'Tenno Sho,' a race of special significance to the Mejiro family. However, McQueen has a tendency to gain weight easily and often finds it difficult to resist the temptation of sweets, leading to considerable effort in her weight management.
"Nendoroid Mejiro McQueen" transforms McQueen, in her racing outfit, into a low-head-to-body ratio Q-version design, delicately reproducing details such as the ruffles on her cuffs and skirt hem, and her necktie, and applying rich color paintwork including gold. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: "smiling face," "serious face," and "sparkling smiling face," as well as various interchangeable arm and hand parts, allowing for a variety of adorable poses through its partially articulated joints. Accessories also include a "teacup and saucer" that expresses her noble lady elegance, the irresistible dessert "melon parfait," and a large green base that can be fitted with race track fences to recreate scenes of her galloping during a race!
