Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE is commemorating the 30th anniversary of the anime "Future GPX Cyber Formula" with a new release in their transformable action figure series "VARIABLE ACTION". This latest product, "Vision Asurada", is newly designed by mechanical designer Shoji Kawamori. It will have a suggested retail price of 27,280 JPY and is scheduled for release in late July 2023!
The "VARIABLE ACTION Vision Asurada" is produced at approximately 1/24 scale, with a total length of about 19 cm. Continuing the style of the VA series, it features a transformation mechanism that allows for the recreation of the booster's extension and retraction, and the movement of the spoilers. Additionally, it can transform into CIRCUIT MODE and AERO MODE, and deploy its fans, all through interchangeable parts. The vehicle's frame also utilizes metal materials, conveying a sense of weight and the allure of a model car.
