Bandai, a Japanese toy company, recently announced the release of "Excavator Treasure Dog," the first three-unit combination in their new transforming robot toy series 『UNITROBORN』, scheduled for March 25, 2023.
『UNITROBORN』is a brand new original toy series that inherits the lineage of Bandai's early toy line "Machine Robo." The story is set around mechanical lifeforms called "UTA-ZO" who come to Earth from space. To protect Earth's peace, they use their songs to instantly combine any similarly colored objects around them into robots. Lobsters and apples, sharks and vending machines, hamburgers and bulldozers... various imaginative combinations can form powerful robots to defeat mysterious enemies causing chaos!
The latest entry, "UNITROBORN Excavator Treasure Dog," is the first to feature a three-unit combination structure. This time, the combining partners include an excavator, a treasure chest, and an adorable Corgi. The excavator's rivets and hydraulic rods, and the treasure chest's wood grain and lock, all feature a good level of detailed sculpting and color application. Notably, the short-legged Corgi, wearing a jacket, also boasts a very cute design.
These three unrelated machines, objects, and creatures can be linked through an imaginative combining structure. Simply connect the designated joint points, and they will naturally spring open and transform. Then, by manually unfolding certain parts, they can combine into a cool dragon-type robot with a total length of approximately 24 cm! Furthermore, they can also be combined in pairs to create three different forms: "Excavator Treasure Chest," "Excavator Dog," and "Treasure Chest Dog," offering even richer playability!
