Hyaku-Shiki Kai Mass Production Type

The MSR-00100S Hyaku-Shiki Kai Mass Production Type is a mobile suit developed by AEUG to mass-produce the Hyaku-Shiki Kai. The original Hyaku-Shiki Kai significantly improved upon many shortcomings of its prototype, the Hyaku-Shiki, including a high-mobility backpack that enhanced maneuverability and agility, a large head with improved detection capabilities, and hardpoints added to both shoulders to mount various armaments for increased firepower. However, to improve producibility, the mass-production type Hyaku-Shiki Kai reverted most parts to the original Hyaku-Shiki design, except for the head and shoulder hardpoints, which retained the Hyaku-Shiki Kai specifications. To reduce costs, the rear stabilizers were also removed, but the unit's performance as a mass-production machine remained uncompromised. Nevertheless, during its development, variable MS were in their heyday, and as a result, the development of this unit concluded before large-scale mass production could commence.
The Hyaku-Shiki Kai series is one of my top three favorite mobile suit series in the Gundam universe! Fortunately, the quality of this METAL ROBOT SPIRITS release did not disappoint! The main body stands approximately 140mm tall, and accessories include 4 types of interchangeable left and right hands, a Beam Gatling Gun, a Beam Rifle, Beam Sabers × 2, Scatter Beam Bazookas × 2, a display stand, and a set of connecting parts.
The main body features a gold coating! Honestly, metallic paint finishes are prone to quality control issues, so I was mentally prepared for that... Fortunately, the overall issues are minor. The selling points of Ka Signature have always been its sculpt and unique unit markings! This Hyaku-Shiki Kai Mass Production Type also inherits these advantages. The articulation is excellent, making it easy to achieve very cool poses! The armament section faithfully reproduces the hardpoint design above both shoulders, allowing the multi-directional Beam Gatling Gun to be mounted. Furthermore, the Beam Rifle and two Scatter Beam Bazookas can be mounted on both sides of the backpack, and the storage mechanism for the Beam Sabers is also reproduced on the rear skirt armor. Apart from quality control, the only area for improvement is that the knee joint feels a bit unnatural when bent, but that's all. The joint tightness is appropriate, and the abundant armaments provide high playability! Therefore, as a high-quality toy, it is a highly recommended product!
Based on the reserved slot for stabilizers on its back and information from previous Tamashii Nations events, I believe everyone should prepare their wallets for other Hyaku-Shiki variations...
