Japanese sculptor Higata Yoshishio, active in three-dimensional modeling events and commercial prototype production, recently announced that he has acquired the one-day license for the Game of the Year, *Elden Ring*. He will be releasing his latest GK model, "Witch Ranni," at 'Wonder Festival 2023 Winter' on February 12, 2023.
Witch Ranni, who appears in *Elden Ring*, was originally a demigod born to Full Moon Queen Rennala and Radagon of the Golden Order, inheriting Marika's blood. However, dissatisfied with her fate being manipulated, she plotted to steal the Rune of Death to forge the Godslayer's Greatsword, killing her own Empyrean body and transferring her soul to a four-armed doll. This allowed her to completely escape the surveillance of her divine blood and the Two Fingers, indirectly leading to the Night of the Black Knives, the shattering of the Elden Ring, and the ensuing Shattering War. Players, as the Tarnished, can choose to assist Ranni and enter the "Age of Stars" ending, placing the Dark Moon Ring on the deified Ranni to become her consort (partner).
Higata Yoshishio's "Witch Ranni" GK model is crafted in her memorable sitting pose from the game. It meticulously captures her gently smiling face, her adorable four hands adorned with rings resting on her lap, and faithfully reproduces everything from the cracks on her chest to the woven textures of her attire. The fur shawl and the Snow Witch's hat are designed to be freely detachable, and transparent parts are used to recreate the translucent half-face attached to the right side of her head. The lower part of her cloak features a flat, right-angled design, which not only avoids interfering with her sitting posture but also allows Ranni to sit on the edges of various flat surfaces, and can even be used to cover instant noodles!
