Japanese toy company RE-MENT, known for creating exquisite accessories and miniature models, announced several new products today (the 8th). This article introduces their collaborative item with Japan's "Komeda Coffee": the "Komeda Coffee" (珈琲所コメダ珈琲店) miniature set! It is scheduled for release in May 2023.
Komeda Coffee, which champions "Japan's Energetic Morning Meal," originated in Nagoya, Japan, in 1968. It has since become Nagoya's most iconic and widespread chain coffee shop, with numerous branches also established in Taiwan. We believe many toy enthusiasts are also fans of Komeda! Besides the unique morning special where ordering coffee gets you toast + a choice of boiled egg, egg salad, or red bean paste, and the editor's personal must-order beef stew, Komeda's beautiful beverage cups are also a major highlight. This RE-MENT miniature set faithfully recreates Komeda's various dishes, distinctive beverage cups, attractive tables and chairs, and partitions in miniature scale across 6 different styles. It is absolutely worth collecting!
Compared to KENELEPHANT, which previously released gashapon (capsule toys) also themed around Komeda Coffee, the biggest difference and advantage of this RE-MENT set is that purchasing a complete set allows you to display a full two-person dining scene. However, KENELEPHANT's beverage and meal models are also quite excellent! Toy enthusiasts should acquire them according to their own preferences.
RE-MENT "Komeda Coffee (珈琲所コメダ珈琲店)" features a total of 6 styles:
● Komeda's Classic Breakfast
● Nagoya's Soul Food
● Traditional Boot Glass
● Signature Dish: Ice and Fire（シロノワール, referring to the dish of white ice cream placed on toasted, slightly dark Danish bread）
● A Short Break in the Cafe
● Tonight's Dinner is Also Komeda Coffee~
