A while ago, we brought you the environment statues of two cities from WETA Workshop: Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith. This time, we're introducing the stronghold of the White Wizard Saruman: "Tower of Orthanc"!
The Tower of Orthanc is a towering black spire located at the very center of the great fortress of Isengard. Its body is constructed from incredibly strong black stone. Originally, Isengard was a lush land filled with trees and rivers. However, after Saruman's fall, Isengard transformed from a comfortable green space into a terrifying military and industrial stronghold, used to breed Uruk-hai and forge all sorts of weapons. This transformation was deeply depicted in "The Lord of the Rings" films, and the already black Tower of Orthanc became even more fearsome due to the barren land surrounding it.
This miniaturized, three-dimensional "Tower of Orthanc" stands approximately 18 cm tall, with a circular base diameter of 11 cm. It is designed to reflect the barren wasteland of Isengard after its trees were felled and valleys destroyed. The design meticulously recreates the architectural structure of the Tower of Orthanc's surface, the four square pillars at the top, the central platform between the pillars, and the entrance staircase, among other details. Coupled with the surrounding gray land, it conveys the sense that Isengard no longer belongs to the allies of men.
