Celebrating its 50th anniversary! South Korean renowned collectible brand Blitzway, which has released numerous robot toys, is set to launch an alloy action figure of "Boss Borot" (BOSS BOROT, ボスボロット), one of the protagonist robots from the classic robot anime series "Mazinger Z", in the third quarter of 2023, under its "CARBOTIX" product line!
Created by Japanese manga artist Go Nagai, "Mazinger Z" (マジンガーＺ, Mazinger Z; also translated as "Demon God Z") is undoubtedly a well-known work to many. It was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in February 1972, and a TV anime adaptation was launched in October of the same year. It subsequently received widespread acclaim when broadcast around the world, even achieving an astonishing 80% viewership rating when aired in European countries such as Spain and Italy (Spain even has a large statue of Mazinger Z), demonstrating its extraordinary charm.

As a supporting but very eye-catching character, "Boss Borot" was forcibly created for Boss, the protagonist Koji Kabuto's friend and frenemy, by the three doctors of the Photon Power Laboratory. It was made from scrap robot parts, with the cockpit located in its head. Boss had to squeeze through a gap in its mouth and drive it with a steering wheel (sharing a common understanding with Xabungle). Amusingly, it even comes with a toilet. While usually serving as a comedic relief in the original work, it occasionally achieves heroic feats. The whimsical weaponry that sometimes appears on its body is part of its humor.
This CARBOTIX series Boss Borot stands approximately 20.5 cm tall. Compared to its original appearance, this product features richer details, with smooth lines and a glossy finish that gives it an outstanding texture. The colors also have an added metallic feel, making it look much more substantial. The accessories are quite abundant, with four interchangeable head expressions alone, along with interchangeable hand parts, missiles, a slingshot, a Mazinger-Z-mimicking helmet, and a chest heat plate, among others. It also includes standees of Boss and his companions for decorative display. Furthermore, LED light-up elements are embedded in the head and chest, making it even more special when illuminated.
