Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s Gashapon capsule toy brand, known for its "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" series of "Mobile Suit Gundam" heavy equipment X ensemble Gashapon toys featuring common connection points and infinite customization, today announced the latest product, "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 16.5," scheduled for release in May 2023.
"Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 16.5" is a modified version of the 16th installment released in 2020. The lineup of mobile suits and accessories remains unchanged, featuring four popular mobile suits: Hi-v Gundam, Arios Gundam, Over Flag, and GN Flag. The MS weapon set includes the Over Flag's Linear Rifle, Arios Gundam's GN Shield (deployed), GN Missiles, and other armaments. Furthermore, the Hi-v Gundam can be reconfigured into its HWS (Heavy Weapon System) heavy armament specification!
What's different is that the 16.5 installment features modified appearances for the mobile suits and armaments. The Hi-v Gundam's original blue and white color scheme has been changed to purple and white. The Arios Gundam is painted in a red hue to replicate its TRANS-AM activation state, while the Over Flag and GN Flag have additional body markings to enhance their details.
