Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY's popular toy series "ZOIDS," following the Blade Liger, today announced the second product in its "ZOIDS 40TH ANNIVERSARY PROJECT" 40th-anniversary commemorative plan, a culmination of technology: "ZOIDS AZ-02 LIGER ZERO," scheduled for release in late September 2023.

The lion-type Zoid RZ-041 LIGER ZERO, unlike typical Zoids equipped with an OS, was developed based on a "complete wild body." It features the distinctive "CAS (Changing Armor System)" which allows it to swap armor and weapons to suit different environments and tactical needs. Among these, the gray-white "Zero Armor" set purely brings out the wild body's performance, making it the most representative and highly versatile equipment for the LIGER ZERO.
"ZOIDS AZ-02 LIGER ZERO" is a 1/72 scale assembly model kit with a built-in motor power unit. Utilizing TAKARA TOMY's latest technology, it features precise part separation, and with some pre-painted parts and body marking stickers, it can further recreate its appearance from the anime. Details such as the cockpit, side stabilizers, and boosters all have deployment mechanisms. The head, Zoid Core, and front claws are equipped with LED light-up features, and the motor drive allows it to reproduce realistic, beast-like walking!
