Co-designed by LEGO fans JBBrickFanatic and BangtanBricks, the BTS-themed creation by the Korean boy band, which garnered immense support on the LEGO IDEAS platform and was confirmed for commercialization, was finally officially unveiled today (16th)! "21339 BTS Dynamite" is scheduled for release on March 1, 2023.
The all-English song "Dynamite" by BTS, which broke 3 Guinness World Records including "Most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours," can be described as a classic hit that perfectly conveys the charm of 70s dance music (and, of course, the oppas' coolness). This commercialized set contains 749 pieces. In addition to faithfully recreating elements from the music video such as the Disco stage, record store, donut shop, ice cream truck, basketball hoop, and more, using LEGO bricks, the seven oppas – RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook – are vividly transformed into LEGO minifigures. Each character also comes with a microphone accessory for interactive play.
▼ Compared to the original submission, the official product features more vibrant colors, and the "DISCO" lettering offers a much better building solution, significantly enhancing the overall cohesion! However, it would seem even more perfect if the floor could be covered with an additional layer of smooth tiles.
