Hong Kong's renowned collectible figure brand threezero, after releasing several characters from the popular American drama "Stranger Things" such as Dustin, Eleven, and Lucas, is set to release a 1/6 scale collectible figure of one of the show's main characters, the youngest son of the Byers family, "Will Byers", in the third quarter of 2023!
The suspenseful horror series "Stranger Things", produced by the Duffer Brothers, first premiered on Netflix in 2016. The story follows the mysterious disappearance of a young boy named Will Byers. A girl with superpowers, "Eleven," helps Will's friends search for him, and in doing so, the group unexpectedly discovers that a government laboratory under the U.S. Department of Energy in their hometown of Hawkins seems to have been involved in something extraordinary. Set in the 1980s, many elements of the show, such as the plot and soundtrack, pay homage to works from that decade. Four seasons have been aired so far, and the official announcement states that the fifth season will be the final one.
As one of the "Iron Four," Will was the first to be taken by a monster into the Upside Down, where he was trapped for ten days. Although he was eventually rescued, he often felt strange for a period afterward. He frequently found himself caught between reality and the Upside Down and was even infected with a virus by the massive "Mind Flayer" to serve as its spy. Fortunately, with the help of his friends, he eventually returned to normal. As the story progressed and everyone grew up, Will slowly revealed his feelings to his friend Mike, later leaving the town to start a new life in California.
This Will Byers figure from threezero is also in 1/6 scale, standing approximately 24.5 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Will's appearance from the first season of the show, with his red vest jacket and dark shirt top both made from fabric materials. Accessories include Will's backpack, watch, a rifle weapon, a walkie-talkie for communication, and five sets of interchangeable hand parts, among others.
