The latest product from Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, the "SDW HEROES Infinite Justice Alternative Dragon", from the "Dragon Knight Legend" side story of the "SD Gundam World Heroes" Knight World, is set to officially release on February 25, 2023. The official team has also preemptively released the box art and prototype today, revealing for the first time the hidden interlocking mechanism between the Infinite Justice Alternative Dragon and last month's Strike Freedom Light of the Holy Dragon!
This model kit utilizes metallic purple, metallic silver, clear purple, and clear blue molded parts, along with color-correcting stickers, to recreate the Infinite Justice Alternative Dragon, which is formed by the fusion of Warlock Aegis Gundam and Dark Tyrant Dragon. It presents a brilliant and mysterious crystal-like color scheme, embodying an image that combines both a sense of calamity and divinity.
The design is fundamentally a variation based on the Strike Freedom Light of the Holy Dragon, featuring a unique head, shoulder armor, and wings, all sculpted with high-density details. All parts utilize a gate structure that allows them to be removed by hand, enabling assembly without the need for tools like nippers. While the visible hollow parts appear significantly improved compared to previous products, most colors still require color-correcting stickers for reproduction, and self-painting is necessary to achieve a higher level of completion.
The tail section can be infinitely extended if multiple kits are acquired. The overall frame structure is largely shared with the Warlock Aegis Gundam, allowing most parts to be interchanged for customization. The biggest revelation of this product is hidden within the instruction manual, which is twice the size of its predecessor. The fusion enhancement parts and the left-right split design of many components, previously hinted at in the Strike Freedom Light of the Holy Dragon kit, finally reveal their hidden playability: by utilizing both the Strike Freedom Light of the Holy Dragon and Infinite Justice Alternative Dragon kits, the ultimate left-right split fusion form can be assembled!
