Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya's commemorative product, the "Kotobukiya Headquarters Building 1/300 Scale Assembly Model," released to celebrate its 70th anniversary, generated enthusiastic discussion when its commercialization was announced. Today (the 22nd), the product's sales details were finally officially revealed, with a suggested retail price of 3,960 JPY. It will be sold exclusively at Kotobukiya stores and is scheduled for release in March 2023.
To commemorate its 70th anniversary, the Kotobukiya Headquarters Building, completed in March 2016 in Midori-cho, Tachikawa City, Tokyo, has been transformed into a 1/300 scale assembly model. With a total height of approximately 120mm, it faithfully recreates the architectural design of the building without compromising its actual proportions, including the KOTOBUKIYA logo on the building, the rooftop structure, and glass railings. Utilizing a snap-fit design, assembly can be completed without the need for adhesive! Furthermore, with the included stickers, a finish close to the depicted image can be achieved without additional painting.
By removing the pre-assembled rooftop components, you'll find Kotobukiya's familiar 3mm universal joint standard, allowing you to attach various weapons from Kotobukiya's Modeling Support Goods (M.S.G) series for wild building customization! Additionally, the packaging features a commemorative illustration drawn by manga artist Keiichi Arai, recreating Kotobukiya's lively atmosphere~
