SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE FIGURE, the high-quality figure brand launched by eStream, a subsidiary of the Japanese IT group CyberZ (CyberZ Inc.), is scheduled to release a 1/7 scale Floral Dress Ver. figure of Yotsuba Nakano, the fourth of the Nakano quintuplets from the highly popular romance series The Quintessential Quintuplets, in November 2023!
The Quintessential Quintuplets (五等分の花嫁) is a work created by Japanese manga artist Negi Haruba, which began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2017, saw an anime adaptation in 2019, and a theatrical film version in 2022. The story follows the protagonist Futaro Uesugi and the Nakano family's quintuplet sisters. It begins with Futaro's wedding to one of the five sisters, then proceeds in a flashback narrative, deliberately concealing the bride's identity from readers, who must follow the story's development to discover who Futaro ultimately chooses as his true love.
In the original work, Yotsuba is the fourth of the quintuplets, possessing the most lively and cheerful personality, and was the first among the five sisters to grow close to Futaro. She excels at sports but struggles with academics. Yotsuba was on the verge of being held back at her previous school, Black Rose Girls' Academy, and while she could have taken a make-up exam, the other four sisters transferred schools with her out of solidarity. This gesture deeply touched Yotsuba but also made her feel guilty, ultimately leading to the quintuplets' fateful encounter with Futaro. Her character is simple and not good at lying; her thoughts are clearly visible on her face.
This 1/7 scale PVC figure of Yotsuba Nakano by eStream stands approximately 26 cm tall. Inspired by Yotsuba's signature green color from the theatrical film version, with a hint of Tiffany blue, these hues are applied to her dress.
