terauma's LEGO Ideas Submission "OVERPASS PARK" Boasts Rich Layering & Expansion Possibilities!

Piece by piece, LEGO offers infinite possibilities; as long as you have imagination, you can create anything! There are countless LEGO enthusiasts worldwide who meticulously craft astonishing works! Today, we're featuring a relatable, everyday-themed creation by LEGO builder terauma: "Overpass Park" (tentative translation)! It is currently submitted to LEGO IDEAS.

In LEGO scene creation, designs that utilize elevation differences to depict two distinct spaces within the same work have always been a captivating theme. Examples include streets and the sewers beneath them, and in this case, terauma's creation of an elevated overpass road and the skate park below. Using approximately 1900 pieces, he has built a beautifully detailed scene within a 32 × 48 stud footprint, rich in layering and with expansion possibilities. The overpass section's smooth road surface, retaining walls, and destination signs are incredibly realistic, and the vehicle models on top are particularly striking! The white jeep is so impressive it makes one want to buy the instructions from terauma separately (laughs).

Next, let's look at the focal point: the skate park beneath the bridge. Here, there's a stunt area for play and a coffee shop on the second floor with comfortable seating, suitable for both dine-in and takeout. The lighting and graffiti on the thick bridge piers, the park benches, and the exquisite railings near the outer edge are all very charming elements. terauma also showcased how two models can be combined in his design; not only does the overpass become longer and more impactful, but the coffee shop nestled perfectly between the two bridge piers also gives a "just right" sense of satisfaction. For toy enthusiasts who want to build a LEGO city at home, terauma's building techniques surely offer valuable inspiration. If you like terauma's creation, remember to support him on LEGO IDEAS!
