BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced today the latest product from the official side story of 'Mobile Suit Z Gundam,' 'A.O.Z RE-BOOT,' for its most diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla series, 'HG (High Grade)': the 'HG 1/144 Aqua Hambrabi II Submersible Type Titans Specification (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.),' scheduled for release in June 2023.
The versatile enhancement part, the Aqua Hambrabi II Submersible Type, can not only operate independently as an aquatic Mobile Armor but can also combine with Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] or Barzam to form the Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort Submersible Type] and Barzam Submersible Type. Equipped with multiple underwater thrusters and a rich array of missile and torpedo armaments, it significantly enhances mobility and firepower in aquatic combat.
This product differs from the simultaneously released 'HG 1/144 Aqua Hambrabi II Submersible Type (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.)' only in its molded part color, featuring the characteristic dark black coloration of the Titans organization. It can combine with the separately sold 'HG 1/144 Barzam (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.)' to recreate the Barzam Submersible Type, whose appearance is known as the 'Trident.'
The core drum-shaped frame features a newly designed structure, allowing for adjustable connection axis positions to further enhance its range of motion. The only playable armaments are the claws located at the front of both shoulder armor pieces, which feature an unfolding mechanism and can recreate a deployed state using the included metal wire.
