American toy brand McFarlane Toys' popular "MOVIE MANIACS" series will release a "Ted Lasso" 6-inch figure, based on the comedy series "Ted Lasso". This figure is a global limited edition of 20,000 units, with a suggested retail price of US$25.99, and is expected to be released in April 2023.
The American football comedy "Ted Lasso" is adapted from a series of TV commercials produced by NBC Sports in 2013 to promote its Premier League coverage. It tells the story of American football coach Ted Lasso, who travels to the UK to coach the "AFC Richmond" football team. However, team owner Rebecca Welton's true intention is for this coach, who doesn't even understand the rules of football, to ruin the team as revenge against her ex-husband.... Facing a demoralized team, cultural differences, and separation from his wife and son, Ted uses his positive energy, humor... and irresistible delicious biscuits to make up for it. The latest season of the series will premiere on March 15th.
The "McFarlane Toys MOVIE MANIACS Ted Lasso" 6-inch scale figure meticulously captures actor Jason Sudeikis' portrayal of Ted Lasso in the show. Although wearing a visor and sunglasses, which largely obscure the head sculpt details, they cannot hide his iconic mustache and sunny smile. He is dressed in the AFC Richmond coach uniform, holding a football in one hand and his special heart-winning biscuits in the other! In addition to the green football field base, this release features a WB100th Anniversary themed window box packaging, with a stadium backdrop printed inside, allowing for display without opening the box. It also includes an art card with a certificate of authenticity and a mysterious mini card.
