In a recent activity video celebrating "MAR10 Day", LEGO unveiled the upcoming "The Dry Bowser Castle Battle" expansion set for the LEGO Super Mario series, scheduled for release in August 2023. The video showcased its rich play features, and one of the classic characters from the Super Mario Bros. series, "Donkey Kong", also made an appearance as a brick-built model. Let's take a look!
This "The Dry Bowser Castle Battle" playset, personally introduced by Didier Agani, an interactive play designer from the LEGO Super Mario team, is a medium-sized structure primarily in grey and black, accented with green rooftops. The front features a striking Dry Bowser head decoration, pointed towers on both sides, and bubbling orange-red lava. Turning to the back, there are multiple interactive mechanisms, a cage holding a purple Toad, and a brick-built Dry Bowser. The key to defeating Dry Bowser lies in using the LEGO Mario figure and a crane arm to swiftly tip over the platform he stands on! Additionally, this set also includes a hidden secret treasure.
