From Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, the 'MODEROID' series of plastic model kits today announced the latest product from "Lord of Lords Ryu-Knight", "Ryu-Knight Collection Series: 2 Bakuretsumaru & Bauls", scheduled for release in October 2023.
This kit includes two mechs: the wind-element "Ryu-Ninja Bakuretsumaru" and the earth-element "Ryu-Monk Bauls". Utilizing multi-color molded parts, clear parts, pre-painted parts, and decal stickers for color correction, the models can largely reproduce their anime appearances even with a straight build.
Once assembled, the mechs stand approximately 8-10 cm tall. Each joint features articulation, allowing for dynamic battle poses. Bakuretsumaru's armaments include a ninja sword, Bakurou x2, and kunai. With dedicated parts, the kunai can even be combined to form the Fuma Shuriken "Retsu-Gan Cross" (Violent Rock Cross) configuration. Bauls' armaments include a handheld mace and shield.
Similar to the first release, this product will also include two "Mist cards", used in the anime to summon Ryu-Ninja and Ryu-Monk. The patterns and text on the cards are identical to their original anime designs, offering not just a model kit but also a full dose of nostalgia!
