Japan's official Pokémon online store, "Pokémon Center ONLINE," recently announced that the latest product from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the "Hisui Region Poké Ball Model," will go on sale starting March 17, 2023.
This uniquely shaped Poké Ball is one used in the ancient 'Hisui Region,' the predecessor to the Sinnoh region, existing hundreds of years ago. Its function is the same as modern Poké Balls – a tool for catching Pokémon – but the materials used for its construction are vastly different. The Hisui Poké Ball uses wood to form the sphere, reinforced with metal parts along the edges, and incorporates a steampunk style with a physical metal lock and a steam vent at the top.
Although the upcoming "Hisui Region Poké Ball Model" is made of plastic, its color application meticulously recreates the wood grain on the lower half of the sphere, the metal rivets, the lock, and the steam vent, conveying a sense of weight distinct from modern Poké Balls. The display base features a roof tile design, incorporating architectural characteristics of Hisui region houses, and includes a groove for showcasing the Poké Ball.
