Japanese toy company Good Smile Company's best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) toy series is scheduled to release a Nendoroid figure of the protagonist "Human" from the indie video game 《Undertale》 in August 2023!
《Undertale》 (also known as "Di Yu Chuan Shuo", "Chuan Shuo Zhi Xia", "Di Xia Chuan Shuo" in some translations) is an indie RPG game created by Toby Fox and released in 2015. Players take on the role of a human child who falls into an underground world, separated by a magical barrier. The game's unique feature lies in its combat system, which adopts a bullet-hell-like style. The story primarily begins with the past conflicts between the two races, humans and monsters. After experiencing a series of events and adventures, players will face choices, and the ending will differ accordingly.
The protagonist played by the player is a child of the human race, whose true name is "Frisk" and whose face is always expressionless. This Nendoroid faithfully recreates their in-game appearance. In terms of accessories, it includes an accessory for the in-game character "Flowey" (小花), whose expression can be interchanged. Additionally, there is a heart-shaped "Red Soul" and a special handshake accessory for TORIEL, which is scheduled for later release.
