Following the release of the "Kamen Rider" from the movie "Shin Kamen Rider," TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has once again announced the latest product in its popular 'S.H.Figuarts' action figure series: "S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider No. 2 (Shin Kamen Rider)." It is priced at 8,250 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2023.
The 50th-anniversary commemorative work, "Shin Kamen Rider," directed by Hideaki Anno, is a reinterpretation based on the original 1971 "Kamen Rider" and is the fourth film in the "Shin Japan Heroes Universe" series. Featuring talented young actors Sosuke Ikematsu as the new generation's Takeshi Hongo and Tasuku Emoto as Hayato Ichimonji, the film blends nostalgic elements with a modern style, inviting audiences to relive the partnership of Kamen Rider No. 1 and No. 2 as they battle the evil organization "Shocker."
The "S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider No. 2 (Shin Kamen Rider)," standing approximately 15 cm tall, faithfully recreates the design from the "Shin Kamen Rider" version, which blends new and old aesthetics. Its distinctive "black trench coat" is made of fabric with an embedded wire in the hem, allowing for natural posing adjustments. In addition to details like the vivid red compound eyes, helmet, armor, and mechanical structures on the belt, the figure also accurately reproduces Kamen Rider No. 2's slightly taller physique compared to Kamen Rider No. 1. It comes with three types of interchangeable hand parts for both left and right hands, enabling dynamic poses from transformation, combat, and other scenes!
