The popular alloy toy brand "Soul of Chogokin," released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., is expanding its product lineup commemorating Go Nagai's "Mazinger Z" 50th anniversary! Following the release of "GX-105 Mazinger Z Kakumei" and "GX-25R & GX-26R Mechanical Beast Set," it will now bring a Renewal Version of "GX-08R Aphrodite A" and "GX-09R Minerva X"! This article will provide product information for this two-figure set.
"Aphrodite A," piloted by Sayaka Yumi, was originally developed as a geological research robot for strontium alloy mining. Later, due to the need to combat the invasion of mechanical beasts and support Mazinger Z in battle, it was modified and equipped with weapons – these are the "Aphrodite A Missiles" that all toy enthusiasts are familiar with! This GX-08R reproduces Aphrodite A's classic color scheme, slender, feminine lines, and rounded chest design. The head cockpit and the internal Sayaka Yumi figure are newly sculpted. In addition to being able to launch Aphrodite A Missiles via a switch on its back, it also includes parts representing the missiles after launch. Furthermore, a large warhead can be installed, making Aphrodite A's chest even more imposing!

▼ Before the Jet Scrander was developed, Mazinger Z once flew into the sky by grabbing a large missile (飛行用ロケット). This can now be recreated!
"Minerva X," often referred to by fans as Mazinger Lady and originally an unmanned robot designed to pair with Mazinger Z, features a light purple face, and its most distinctive characteristic is the hexagonal "Partner Circuit" located on its abdomen. The Renewal Version GX-09R adopts a new color scheme that harmonizes with "GX-105 Mazinger Z Kakumei" in appearance. It also recreates the feminine curves of the robot, with alloy parts used for the joints in its arms, legs, waist, and feet. The accessory content of this set also includes multiple interchangeable hands, dedicated display stands for Aphrodite A and Minerva X, and interchangeable hand parts for Mazinger Z.
