BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan today announced the latest product from the 'HG (High Grade)' plastic model series, 'Dygenguar,' from 'Super Robot Wars OG,' is scheduled for release on August 26, 2023.
In the game, Dygenguar is the Super Powered General Guardian God Unit 1, piloted by Sanger Zonvolt. It utilizes the DIRECT MOTION LINK control system and an artificial muscle power transmission system, allowing for agile movements unimaginable for its massive size and weight, achieving a 'man-machine integration' combat style. It excels in close-quarters combat and sword fighting, capable of wielding the Sanshiki Zankantou and Guardian's Sword to unleash various cool sword techniques, slicing enemies in two.
The 'HG Dygenguar' is based on the anime design by animator Masami Obari. The kit features a powerfully cool physique, excellent part separation and color molding, and flexible articulation. The entire model's colors can be reproduced simply with the molded parts, without the need for stickers. Various metallic molded colors are used to create the metallic texture of the silver and metallic blue armor. Obari's signature extremely large shoulder armor proportions and elongated limbs are faithfully reproduced, and the back armor features a deployable thruster mechanism.
In addition to posing it to unleash Dynamic Knuckle and General Blaster with its flexible articulation, the weapon parts also include its main weapon, the 'Sanshiki Zankantou,' made from memory liquid metal as per its setting. It comes with two interchangeable parts: a Japanese Katana form and a powerfully sized Greatsword form when deployed, allowing for poses that recreate powerful special moves like Raikou Sekka, Gakai, and Unyo no Tachi!
