Following the "MAFEX No.155 Ultraman" from "Shin Ultraman", Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular 6-inch action figure series "MAFEX" is once again releasing its latest product, "MAFEX No.207 Ultraman (Shin Ultraman Ver.) DX Ver."! The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2023.
The Japanese tokusatsu hero monster film "Shin Ultraman", co-produced by Tsuburaya Productions, Toho, and Khara, reinterprets the 1966 tokusatsu TV series "Ultraman". Similar to "Shin Godzilla" released in 2016, it reconstructs the work with a modern society backdrop, aiming to allow audiences to once again experience the shock of "seeing Ultraman for the first time on TV", returning to its origins to recreate the work's charm, and also letting audiences experience "a world where Ultraman exists, unlike anything seen before".
The "MAFEX No.207 Ultraman (Shin Ultraman Ver.) DX Ver." action figure not only faithfully recreates the new Ultraman's slender limbs and elegant, streamlined design, but also includes a replaceable head part for "Fake Ultraman", the transformation device "Beta Capsule", and effect parts for special moves such as "Specium Ray (long/short versions)" and "Ultra Slash (two pieces)", along with interchangeable hand gestures!
