BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced today the latest limited edition product from its robot-themed action figure series, 'ROBOT魂 ver.A.N.I.M.E.': the 'Gundam Aerial ver. A.N.I.M.E. ～PERMET SCORE EXPANSION～', scheduled for release in June 2023. This product is currently only available for pre-sale in China and Korea, with potential future limited sales on the official online store PREMIUM BANDAI.
The XVX-016 Gundam Aerial is a GUND-ARM type mobile suit developed by Shin Sei Development Corporation on Mercury. Its development was led by President Prospera, and it is piloted by her daughter, Suletta Mercury. Suletta has been with the Gundam Aerial's onboard AI since childhood, considering it a member of her family. This unit is equipped with armaments such as beam sabers, a beam rifle, and a shield. The shield can separate into 11 'GUND-Bits', which can be used not only as remote-controlled, all-range wireless weapons ('Funnels') but also connect to various points on the body and the beam rifle, serving as equipment to enhance mobility and firepower. Furthermore, when piloted by Suletta, it can activate a superhuman, high-level 'Permet Score', unleashing inexplicable and extraordinary abilities.
This product is a modification of the previously released standard version, with red luminous lines added to the inner side of the transparent black parts on the head, chest, shoulders, and thighs, which were not present before, recreating the appearance when the Permet Score is activated. The beam saber blade effect has also been replaced with a transparent green version, indicating restricted power. Other parts remain identical to the standard version, featuring excellent articulation designs such as pull-out joint structures in the shoulders and hips, and armor styling that further accentuates the human-like curves of the arms, chest, and legs.
For armaments, it includes a beam rifle, beam sabers, a shield, and beam effect parts. The shield is divided into two types for interchangeable use: a 'shield-specific part' and a 'BIT ON FORM-specific part'. This ensures both stability and volume in shield form, and prevents strange part connectors from being exposed when separated into GUND-Bits for use as Funnels or in BIT ON FORM. Additionally, the product comes with a set of 6 transparent stands for the GUND-Bits, which can be directly attached to the Gundam Aerial's back or mounted on a separately sold TAMASHII STAGE display stand, recreating dynamic battle scenes with all GUND-Bits deployed!
