BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, today unveiled the full details of the latest product from the 'ROBOT魂 ver.A.N.I.M.E.' series, a robot-themed action figure line, featuring the "Gundam Aerial (Rebuild) ver. A.N.I.M.E." from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. It is scheduled for release in October 2023.
The XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial (Rebuild) is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Suletta Mercury. After its severe damage in the fierce duel with the Grassley House, it was recovered by Shin Sei Development Corporation, operated by her mother, and underwent extensive modifications and enhancements to its exterior armor and weaponry. It boasts a heavier and more refined armor design, a new beam rifle with significantly enhanced performance, and its signature 11 "GUND-Bits" which can form a shield, be used as funnels, or be mounted on various parts of the fuselage to enhance mobility. They can even combine with the beam rifle to form a powerful beam cannon, whose destructive power and caliber are astonishing.
The "ROBOT魂 Gundam Aerial (Rebuild) ver. A.N.I.M.E." utilizes new parts to recreate the heavier, modified armor design, preserving Aerial's muscular armor curves while also meticulously detailing the armor to match the anime's design sketches. Unlike the previous Aerial release, where the illuminated version was sold separately, this time, transparent black sections on the forehead, chest, and thighs can all be replaced with parts to recreate the red glow when the Permet Score is activated.
The articulation joints inherit and evolve from some designs of the previous release, featuring pull-out shoulder joints, vertically movable shoulder armor, a knee sliding mechanism, movable back thrusters, and rotating deployable wings with expansion mechanisms. These can be combined with the four included interchangeable hand parts to recreate dynamic battle scenes from the anime.
Weaponry includes a beam rifle, beam sabers, green beam saber effects, a shield, GUND-Bits, and more. The 11 GUND-Bits can be displayed in their all-out firing state using transparent stand parts, and replacement parts can be used to recreate their shield formation. The new weapon, the "Large Beam Rifle," can be transformed by replacing parts to recreate its expanded form combined with the GUND-Bits, faithfully reproducing the impressive beam cannon firing scene from the show!
