The high-quality figure series developed and released by Japanese toy manufacturer "Phat!" (株式会社ファット・カンパニー) will launch a 1/7 scale figure product of the character "Makomo" from the popular series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"! It is scheduled for release in April 2024.
Created by Japanese manga artist Koyoharu Gotouge, the super popular manga series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" (鬼滅の刃), which began serialization in 2016, has maintained its popularity despite concluding its run in 2020. The second season of the anime, "Entertainment District Arc," finished airing in February 2022, and the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," is confirmed to premiere in April 2023.
In the original story, Makomo, like Sabito, was once a disciple under Sakonji Urokodaki, but both were later killed and devoured by demons. During Tanjiro's final training under Urokodaki, when he sought to pass his master's trial of "cutting a giant boulder," Makomo suddenly appeared before Tanjiro and engaged him in combat. Initially, Tanjiro was no match, but after Makomo pointed out the flaws in his movements, he finally managed to defeat Sabito approximately half a year later. It was then that Tanjiro realized he had successfully cut the giant boulder. Later, during a demon-slaying mission, he discovered the truth that both of them had already passed away.
This Makomo figure, released by Phat!, is faithfully recreated in 1/7 scale, standing approximately 20 cm tall. It materializes Makomo's adorable appearance, dressed in a pink outfit, holding a floral wreath, and with her mask lifted to reveal her face. The intricate details of the mask and facial expression are exquisitely painted. Coupled with the stone base she stands upon, the overall presentation exudes an elegant charm.
