GASHAPON, the capsule toy brand of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced today that the latest product from the 'MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE' series – a Gashapon toy line from 'Mobile Suit Gundam' characterized by shared connection points and infinite customization – will be the 'GN ARMS TYPE-E' from 'Mobile Suit Gundam 00', scheduled for release in August 2023.
The GN ARMS is a large support mechanism developed by the private armed organization Celestial Being specifically for Gundams. In the series, two specifications appeared: TYPE-E, used by Gundam Exia, and TYPE-D, used by Gundam Dynames. Normally, it can be attached to the exterior of Celestial Being's transport ship 'Ptolemaios' as weaponry or used independently as a space fighter. However, its maximum combat potential is unleashed only when combined with a Gundam unit. It not only significantly enhances the Gundam's maneuverability in space with its large thrusters but also features powerful armaments such as the GN Field and GN Large Cannon. Depending on the supported Gundam unit, the TYPE-E is equipped with a large GN Sword, while the TYPE-D features a twin-barrel large GN Rifle and GN Missile Pods.
The 'MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE EX46 GN ARMS TYPE-E' product includes both the Gundam Exia main unit and the GN ARMS TYPE-E. Essentially identical to previously released versions, the main unit stands approximately 55mm tall, boasting intricate detail and rich coloring. It comes with a variety of armaments, including the GN Sword, GN Shield, GN Long/Short Blade, and two GN Beam Sabers.
The GN ARMS TYPE-E, on the other hand, boasts a large size with an overall length of approximately 16 cm. It faithfully reproduces the substantial large GN Sword, GN Large Cannon, thrusters, and other characteristic armaments in SD proportion. The unit's body also features rich armor line details. It can be displayed in its fighter mode, and by deploying its movable frame, the Gundam Exia main unit can be equipped, allowing for dynamic battle scenes to be recreated with the included clear display stand!
