Japanese figure manufacturer WING (Wing Inc.) will release a 1/7 scale figure of "A-Z:[A]", based on the original illustration series "A-Z:" by popular Japanese illustrator neco! It is scheduled for release starting in September 2023.
The "A-Z:" illustration series by neco combines the elements of beautiful girls and heavy weaponry, presenting a calm and understated visual effect through its low-saturation black, white, and gray main tones. The character designs also incorporate rich fashion elements, paired with uniquely designed high-tech armaments, creating an overall atmosphere rich in science fiction and storytelling. The name "A-Z:" is derived from the philosophical masterpiece "Thus Spoke Zarathustra (Also sprach Zarathustra)".
This figure, based on neco's "A-Z:[A]" illustration released in 2019, stands approximately 42.5 cm tall. It faithfully recreates [A]'s pose, holding a massive spear-like weapon with both hands and gracefully supporting her entire body on top of it. Every detail is meticulously sculpted, from the device on her head, her bracelets, the side-slit white top, and the black leather-like straps, to her flowing black jacket and white hair. The lettering and patterns on various parts and the jacket are also accurately reproduced. Her melancholic expression and orange-yellow eyes are excellent! However, the skin tone references the fair skin from the 2017 illustration, rather than the tanned skin seen in later tweets, which might be a disappointment for fans of darker skin tones.

The weapon features a heavy metallic paint finish and a superb matte black texture, with meticulously sculpted components, creating a realistic, near-future aesthetic. The dynamic sculpting of her right foot's toes is definitely a major highlight!
