Japan's MAX FACTORY (株式会社マックスファクトリー) toy company's popular articulated toy series "figma" will release the popular VTuber from hololive EN, "figma Mori Calliope", with a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY, scheduled for release in November 2023.
Mori Calliope, a first-generation (holoMyth) member of the VTuber group hololive EN, debuted in September 2020 and is the second member of hololive EN to reach two million subscribers. In her lore, she is the Grim Reaper's first apprentice, but due to advancements in modern medicine, the Grim Reaper's task of harvesting human souls has become increasingly difficult. Thus, she became a virtual streamer to attract souls "killed by cuteness." Although she debuted as a streamer, her singing and rapping skills are exceptional, and her personal theme song "Excuse me, but RIP♡ (失礼しますが、RIP♡)" surpassed one million views shortly after its release.
The "figma Mori Calliope" articulated figure stands approximately 15 cm tall, bringing her classic initial Grim Reaper outfit to life. Her all-black reaper attire is accented with gold paintwork, and transparent materials are used for her veil and right sleeve. The tattered hem of her cloak is also meticulously recreated. She comes with three interchangeable face plates: her signature "smiling face," a captivating "winking face," and a distressed "grimacing face," along with interchangeable bangs for her sunglasses. Paired with the microphone, you can enjoy her rapper persona! Additionally, accessories include a massive, foldable "scythe" and her mascot "Death-sensei," allowing for the recreation of various scenes.
