Following the release of "Manjiro Sano (Mikey)" from *Tokyo Revengers*, the Japanese toy brand Kaiyodo's "Amazing Yamaguchi (アメコミヤマグチ)" series, which specializes in American comic book superheroes and boasts astonishing articulation, is once again launching its popular second installment: the "Ken Ryuguji (Draken)" action figure. It has a suggested retail price of 10,450 JPY and is scheduled for release in September 2023.
Draken, whose real name is Ken Ryuguji, is one of the founders of the Kanto's most notorious gang, "Tokyo Manji Gang (Toman)". He is an upright and loyal man, tall and slender, who looks after and assists the President, Manjiro Sano (Mikey), and is known as "Mikey's Conscience". He sports a golden braid and a fearsome twin dragon tattoo on his shaved temples.
The "Amazing Yamaguchi Ken Ryuguji (Draken)" action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall and features 16 points of articulation throughout its body. It exquisitely reproduces the golden "First Vice President" and "Tenjo Tenge Yuiga Dokuson" (I alone am honored in heaven and on earth) characters on his intimidating tokkofuku (special attack uniform). Details such as buttons and the belt are also meticulously crafted, faithfully recreating the design from the series. Furthermore, Draken's cool, distinctive hairstyle and the dragon tattoo on his head are incredibly eye-catching! The waist area incorporates a combination of ball and shaft joints, along with a segmented overlay structure for the body, allowing for perfect enjoyment of dynamic combat poses.
In addition to a standard face with closed lips, the figure also includes interchangeable facial expressions such as a fearsome glaring face and an angry shouting face, which can be combined with interchangeable hand gestures for combat to recreate various scenarios. Furthermore, continuing the style of the previous release, Draken's hair part comes with an "delinquent aura" effect!
