One week after the theatrical anime film《GRIDMAN UNIVERSE》premiered, the new combined form of Gridman that appeared in the film has finally been unveiled. Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's mechanical-themed toy brand MECHA SMILE has simultaneously announced the commercialization of 「THE合體 古立特(Universe Fighter) & BIG GOLDBURN」, which can recreate this new form from the film. Official pre-orders are expected to open on April 14th.
The theatrical film 《GRIDMAN UNIVERSE》 returns to the setting of the first work,《SSSS.GRIDMAN》: the computer world of 「Tsutsujidai」 where protagonists Yuta, Rikka, and others live. It brings together main characters like Yomogi and Yume from the sequel《SSSS.DYNAZENON》for a dream collaboration! After Akane Shinjo, who created monsters, returned to the real world, and the mastermind Alexis Kerib was defeated by GRIDMAN, Tsutsujidai enjoyed peaceful daily life. However, just half a year later, mysterious monsters reappeared due to the convergence of multiple universes, forcing the GRIDMAN Alliance to reassemble!
「THE合體 古立特(Universe Fighter) & BIG GOLDBURN」 includes the enhanced forms of both characters who gained new powers in the theatrical film. Gridman (Universe Fighter) stands approximately 14.5 cm tall, and BIG GOLDBURN measures approximately 34 cm in length. Each features intricate color applications to faithfully reproduce their appearance from the film, with BIG GOLDBURN also having some parts treated with electroplated gold, showcasing a rich, metallic luster.
In addition to basic articulation, it can further combine with the 「THE合體 合體龍人 DX DYNAZENON」 released in 2021, expanding its functionality by integrating with existing combination mechanisms to recreate the new combined form from the theatrical film, 「超龍王合體超人 Rogue Kaiser Gridman」！
