Japanese toy company Gecco is set to release a 1/6 scale collectible statue of James Sunderland, the protagonist from KONAMI's classic horror game 'Silent Hill 2'. It is scheduled for release between August and November 2023.
'Silent Hill 2' is the second installment in the series, released by KONAMI on the PS2 console in 2001. It also uses the town of "Silent Hill" as the starting point for its plot, though its story is unrelated to the previous title. The story of the second game describes how protagonist James Sunderland one day receives a letter sent three years prior by his deceased wife, Mary. The letter reads, "I'll be waiting for you in our special place." James, seeking the truth, sets off for Silent Hill, and thus the story unfolds.
This 1/6 scale statue of James Sunderland, the protagonist of 'Silent Hill 2' released by Gecco, stands approximately 31 cm tall. It perfectly recreates his appearance and look from the game. James, with his golden-blonde hair, has a weathered expression on his face, dressed in a green jacket and jeans, with the flashlight on his chest for illumination also faithfully reproduced. The base beneath his feet is designed to resemble broken road pavement, and an empty bottle of health drink, used for recovery in the game, adorns his feet. For his right hand, various weapon accessories (including the hand itself) are interchangeable, including a handgun, shotgun, and steel pipe.
