Hong Kong toy design brand Kaiju One (Ichikobo), after obtaining official licensing from Dynamic Planning, has successively released several versions of the "Steel Jeeg" (Kōtetsu Jīgu) soft vinyl figures. This time, Steel Jeeg returns with a brand new look, combining a massive, imposing size with an incredibly powerful half-cutaway visual effect!
"Steel Jeeg," originally created by Go Nagai, Tatsuya Yasuda, and Dynamic Planning, tells the story of Hiroshi Shiba, who, after undergoing secret surgery to become a cyborg, takes on the responsibility of fighting against the enemies of the "Jamada Empire." Hiroshi Shiba can transform into Steel Jeeg's head by striking his fists together, and then magnetically connect with the other body parts to become the giant robot Steel Jeeg! Steel Jeeg can unleash "Jeeg Beam," and the "Knuckle Bomber" by combining its palms and firing, as well as the hardcore special move "Jeeg Breaker," which uses magnetism to attract enemies, then tightly embraces and destroys them.
This "Steel Jeeg" soft vinyl figure released by Kaiju One stands at an impressive 48 cm tall, making it highly impactful. In addition to continuing the style of the previous BIG SCALE series "Clear Steel Jeeg," which allows collectors to directly appreciate the charm of the internal silver mechanical structure and detailed parts through its transparent exterior, the right half of the body is presented in solid colors. This faithfully recreates Steel Jeeg's primary yellow-green color scheme, accented with red and light blue on the chest and head, allowing for a different appreciation of Steel Jeeg from every angle. Furthermore, the articulation mechanism, achieved through multiple separate parts, allows one to feel the ingenious design of the internal components moving in conjunction when rotating the arms and legs – it's incredibly cool!
