Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys yesterday (6th) unveiled several new products celebrating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. This article will bring you information on the MMS699 "Darth Vader" 1/6th scale collectible figure!
This figure stands at 35 cm tall and features 30 points of articulation throughout its body. It faithfully recreates the adjusted helmet design, the complete black-themed battle suit, the life support system on the chest, and the control box on the belt, all based on the Return of the Jedi settings. The finely tailored fabric cape offers excellent drape and realistic flow. The helmet features a removable dome, allowing collectors to admire the internal structure of the mask and the pale, scar-ridden "Anakin Skywalker" head sculpt. This sculpt not only masterfully captures the facial contours and wrinkles but also incorporates rolling eyeball technology, enabling a more varied and expressive appearance.
Accessories include a newly crafted lightsaber hilt, an LED light-up lightsaber hilt, red lightsaber blades in both normal and motion effects, gloved interchangeable hands, a severed hand replacement part perfectly depicting Luke's cut-off hand, and an LED light-up display base, along with packaging printed with the 40th-anniversary logo of Return of the Jedi. Furthermore, the chest and belt control boxes also feature LED light-up functions, illuminating to give this terrifying Imperial lord an even more imposing presence!
