Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s capsule toy brand GASHAPON announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam," the "EXCEED MODEL SD-MS Zaku Special Edition 1," which will be available for limited release starting today on Bandai's online capsule toy service, GASHAPON ONLINE, with an estimated shipping date in late October 2023.
The "EXCEED MODEL" series features a design where "the quality is higher than typical capsule toy products, and the capsule itself is part of the model." This new sub-series, "EXCEED MODEL SD," not only transforms the Mobile Suits from "Mobile Suit Gundam" into SD (Super Deformed) proportions, but also boasts an incredibly cute, plump body and short limbs that prevent them from standing up on their own if they fall. The design is utterly charming!
The online-exclusive "EXCEED MODEL SD-MS Zaku Special Edition 1" is a re-release based on the previously launched standard version. It features three color variations: Zaku II (Real Type Color), High Mobility Type Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars), and Char's Custom High Mobility Type Zaku II. It includes different body markings compared to the standard version, and even includes a weapon set that couldn't be included in the capsule at the time. Each Zaku will come with three equipable weapons: a Zaku Machine Gun, a Zaku Bazooka, and a Heat Hawk!
