Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY is expanding its popular "Nendoroid Doll" series. Following the release of "Marin Kitagawa," the company is once again drawing from "My Dress-Up Darling" to introduce the latest "Nendoroid Doll Kuroe Shizuku Cosplay by Marin" articulated figure. Priced at 12,500 JPY, it is slated for a January 2024 release. Additionally, the "Kuroe Shizuku Outfit Set" is also available for pre-order.
Marin Kitagawa, the main heroine of Shinichi Fukuda's romantic manga "My Dress-Up Darling," is a gyaru high school student with a passion for cosplay. She's a classmate of the protagonist, Wakana Gojo, and a huge fan of anime and games, believing that cosplay is the "ultimate expression of love" for a character. Her youthful romance with Gojo began when she asked him to create the costume for her to cosplay as "Kuroe Shizuku" from the adult game "Slippery Girls' Academy: The Maiden's Shameful Harem Life 2."
The "Nendoroid Doll Kuroe Shizuku Cosplay by Marin" articulated figure stands approximately 14 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Marin's transformation into Kuroe Shizuku, featuring the series' signature chibi aesthetic, flexible joints, and a more slender body proportion compared to standard Nendoroids. Her facial expression, enhanced by makeup, captures a distinctly alluring vibe. The figure comes with various interchangeable hand parts, including open palms, clenched fists, and hands for holding the chain. Both the feet and the base are designed with built-in magnets, enhancing stability and allowing for natural posing.
The most crucial costume elements are meticulously recreated using real fabric to capture Kuroe Shizuku's iconic gothic dress. The set also includes an inner petticoat, a detachable collar (with chain), and a headpiece. The voluminous sleeves and intricate ruffles are delicately crafted, perfectly replicating the complete Kuroe Shizuku transformation. Despite its compact and refined size, this Nendoroid Doll boasts incredible "breast pocket" detailing! Furthermore, if you look closely, "that" detail on her thigh has also been painted on. This outfit is also being released as a standalone set.
